God has opened up my eyes to so many things throughout these revelations from the Lord to you, on what is happening on our world nowadays; dark times. This blog is truly a blessing. May the Lord continue pouring down authentic wisdom over you and may He also protect yourself and your loved ones. Big hug, P. It is almost as if our souls tell us, "Well, at least I am better than THEM. I am not doing THAT. Just look at how shameful and deceived THEY are."

Such produces a false sense of comfort that we are better than we think we are. We are not really so bad afterall.

But, the mirror we are to hold to our faces, the standard by which we are compared is Jesus Christ.

I am not saying that we should get into a whole bunch of works trying to be like Jesus. I am saying that there is a journey God has for every Christian, to proceed in His word by the transforming power of His Spirit. There is a perfecting, a maturation, whereby the more we decrease, Jesus Christ increases in us.

Our greatest weapon is Jesus Christ, and the more we can be like Him, the less of a concern the darkness becomes.

God Bless you sister!Latter Days Ministryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15405696673350225699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-793573695603056525.post-74276379009786656582010-05-22T09:20:50.853-04:002010-05-22T09:20:50.853-04:00Amen!

Darkness has power as well. There is a fascination that comes with looking into the 'other side,' as evidenced by the sharp rise in movies and shows that promote, even exalt the works of Satan, presenting them as having 'good' in them, (Medium, Twilight Series, Ghost etc.). Promoting the lie that there is inherent good in everyone, that man is not really 'all' bad. While the Word tells us otherwise: Jer 10:23 O Lord , I know that [the determination of] the way of a man is not in himself; it is not in man [even in a strong man or in a man at his best] to direct his [own] steps.
Rom 7:18 For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot perform it. [I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out.]
Rom 7:19 For I fail to practice the good deeds I desire to do, but the evil deeds that I do not desire to do are what I am [ever] doing.
Isa 64:6 For we have all become like one who is unclean [ceremonially, like a leper], and all our righteousness (our best deeds of rightness and justice) is like filthy rags or a polluted garment; we all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away [far from God's favor, hurrying us toward destruction].

There is no good thing in us of ourselves.
We are called to be LIGHTS in the darkness. And the only LIGHT in us is Christ Himself, living through us. He alone can cause the darkness to flee. He alone can open the blind eyes and draw men unto Himself. Too often we become overly fascinated with the darkness, when we need to be pressing into the light.
Carnal man delights in comparing himself with others, and there are always others worse off that can make us look good in our own eyes. But 'others' are not the standard we need to measure ourselves against. We are to 'grow up' in Christ, to 'be as he is' in this world. Light dispels darkness, let's focus on the LIGHT!!
Awesome post Mia, Thank you.outofthefirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07439257007793016074noreply@blogger.com
