I know that this is harsh language, but this particular interpretation is very dangerous to the Christian faith, and I will tell you why.

We know from James 1:12 that all who love the Lord receive the Crown of Life. To therefore assert that such people only account for some of those who have received eternal life implies that people who do not love the Lord will receive eternal life!

If people who do not love the Lord can have eternal life, then why would people need to believe in Jesus? If people who do not love the Lord can have eternal life, then who is going to Hell? Such a premise makes God a liar, for He has stated that it is a lack of love for God that makes people reject Him (John 3:19).

No. Only those who love Jesus receive eternal life and these are the same ones who are given the Crown of Life. God says that the condition for receiving this crown is that we remain faithful until the end."

___
So very true. The Lord showed me through revelation how James 1:12 & 2:5 relate to one another and how Revelation 2:10 relates to those verses in James. Many would dangerously stipulate that the Crown of Life is one of the "rewards", but God Almighty Himself shed His divine light on that lie about a year ago. When we seek the Lord, we must place "doctrines" to the side and ask Him to reveal the truth to us. He will! Praise the Lord - He will! So many attempt to conform the Word to fulfill their man made doctrine. God help us to seek Him in purity and honesty.
Trust in God - The Turtle's Voicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03496107727261703617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-793573695603056525.post-50162910833469070562009-11-25T10:18:33.673-05:002009-11-25T10:18:33.673-05:00Endure and Abide: I feel like this is the hardest ...Endure and Abide: I feel like this is the hardest part to not just me but everyone else because the previous conditions could all be done in a prayer but this condition here has to be consistent and followed obediently. May we trust in God and keep firm our faith in Christ not to be shaken by anything.Jesus servantnoreply@blogger.com
