Im just amazed because I'm literally watching it close to home and lately I've verbalize to myself and to God how utterly ridiculous and mindblowing it is watching a mind deterioate due to sin. The problem the enemy is making though tht is going to force God to rrespnd is the accosting of children, at least that's my belief. Practicing sin that affect you is one thing bu when it affects a child I expect God to intervene. I pray He does as well. The Lord knows exactly how to communicate Truth too each of us in a way that we will undoubtedly understand.

The person may continue to profess the lie as a rejection of the Truth due to sin, but that is rebellion. If we keep rejecting revealed truth like that, then God will ensure that we certainly do start to believe a lie and be damned (II Thess. 2:12). It is very dangerous to deny revealed truth.

And I LOVE that saying!

Have a great day!Latter Days Ministryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15405696673350225699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-793573695603056525.post-13955585177160741142014-02-21T10:21:29.647-05:002014-02-21T10:21:29.647-05:00I look at myself as an example. If the Holy Spirit has not yet taught me regarding a particular area of error in my own beliefs, then I do not yet know my understanding is in error. However, when the Spirit does present the Truth to me on a matter and I reject that Truth, then I have rejected the Spirit’s instruction.

If the Spirit has instructed a person, yet that person refuses to accept that Truth and instead continues to teach others what that person believes to be true, THIS is where my questions arise that I listed in the previous entry…

Two verses always come to mind:
John 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Galatians 1: 6-8

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him, that called you into the grace of Christ, for another gospel.

For this is not another; but there are some who trouble you and would pervert the Gospel of Christ.

But should we, or an angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

____

On a side note, I saw a new sign outside a church this morning:

“You are kept by faith when you keep the faith.”

:)Trust in God - The Turtle's Voicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03496107727261703617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-793573695603056525.post-61267081612701946642014-02-20T11:28:25.934-05:002014-02-20T11:28:25.934-05:00Hi Joy,
Your question reminds me of a quote from ...Hi Joy,

Your question reminds me of a quote from Leslie Ludy:

"The question in true Christianity is not, "How far can I go to the edge of the cliff before it is considered sin?" It is, "How far can I go to glorify God, bring honor to His name, get closer to Him, and let others see His life through me?"

I do not think that we have to have perfect knowledge or perfect doctrine to be saved, as we are not all-knowing and God provides grace. However, any departure in us from the Truth is a danger to becoming a snare to our souls. We are expected to hold fast to that which God has shown us.

The question is, who believes in false doctrine out of ignorance and who believes in rebellion? Do I accept false doctrine because God has not taught me otherwise yet or do I accept false doctrine because I do not want to yield to the truth? Only God knows the heart, and such is a matter of the heart. If someone refuses to accept truth when it is plainly outlined in the Scriptures, then you can know that the culprit for that unbelief is sin. There is something in their lives with which they are just not ready to deal.

That doesn't mean necessarily that the person is no longer saved. However, if they do not repent, they will find themselves drifting further and further away from God. It is God's desire to bring us into the knowledge of truth, but we must be willing to receive and walk in it.

It is not our responsibility to oversee another's heart. However, God surely charges us with keeping watch over our own. As we do, we will be effective witnesses for others...now what they do with that witness is up to them.

Much love to you Sister!Latter Days Ministryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15405696673350225699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-793573695603056525.post-85401875729131298222014-02-20T11:05:20.154-05:002014-02-20T11:05:20.154-05:00This is such a necessary post. In addition, I find that I rarely directly encounter anyone who thinks he or she can live the way he or she wants and have eternal life. The greatest point of contention that I witness from others centers upon the denial that a person can "want to be kept" by God and can be "in the faith" BUT can LATER choose to turn away, leave the faith, depart, etc. That is the strongest area of disagreement I seem to witness.

We are kept by God THROUGH faith. Yet, many (at least in my circles) do not acknowledge Hebrews 6 or Hebrews 10 (just to name a few) and what those chapters directly indicate -- which is - a person can have the Holy Spirit or be born again and can slowly (or quickly) become hardened by sin (a hardened heart) and thus be lost.

I agree with you -- I know that I cannot keep myself, and I know that insanity will ensue if I am not kept by Him. I also realize that one must WANT to be kept. This occurs through faith (an abiding faith and belief in Jesus and His words - for we cannot separate the two).

The Bible teaches that the Comforter will bring us into all Truth. I find myself asking the Lord, "What if those who believe in you and have fruit illustrating that never fully believe that a person can fall away?" "Are those people lost because they refused to hear your truth on that matter?" A close family member and friends seem to live for the Lord, etc, yet they do not believe that a person who believes can turn away... These are concerns that I have for them.

Much Love In Christ,
Joy Trust in God - The Turtle's Voicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03496107727261703617noreply@blogger.com
