Sympathy From the Devil

"And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness." I John 5:19

These are days that will test what we think we know and believe.  The "whole world" lies in wickedness.
wickedness:  Greek word ponēros meaning full of labours, annoyances, hardships; of an evil nature or condition; bringing toils, annoyances, perils; of a time full of peril to Christian faith and steadfastness; causing pain and trouble.
Do we believe that? Do we believe that everything of the world is grounded in evil?

"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." II Corinthians 4:3-4

Do we truly believe that Satan is the god of this world? That every single world system is under his jurisdiction and infuence?

If we believe the word of God, then isn't it illogical to seek sympathy from the devil?  Why seek retibution, understanding, compassion, equality, and justice from the devil?  Why appeal for mercy to the one who is determined to steal from, kill. and destroy you? Why expect Satan to do what is right? What sense does that make? Absolutely none.

I expect those who are of the world to turn to the world for answers.  They will march, protest, petition legislators, host sit-ins & boycotts, and even seek their own brand of justice by their own hand.  Yet, what about those who claim to belong to Christ?

We all have our own individual trials.  However, as the world transitions into these last of the last days, it is also in tribulation. The world is in birth pains. The Scriptures say there are two natures being brought to full manifestation during this time: the nature of Jesus Christ in His sons (Galatians 4:19; Romans 8:19) and the nature of Satan in his (Revelation 13:4-18, 17:8-14). Which one are you? One indication is certainly the one to whom you turn in times of distress.  Don't fool yourself.  If you are seeking justice from this world, it is because you are still to some degree of the world.

Let me tell you something. There is nothing this world can give me to make up for the injustices, murders, breeches, sicknesses, deformities, perversions, lies, heartache, abuses, thefts, rejections, and turmoil Satan has brought into my life.  Not one thing.  Neither will I seek Satan - or his systems - to right any of these wrongs.

So some may ask. "Then what are we supposed to do?"  That is the million dollar question.

"Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is." Ephesians 5:14-17

"And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh." Luke 21:28

God expects that His children will discern the times in which we live and look up for direction from our Commander and Chief, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is forging His people for battle and equipping us with spiritual weapons which are not carnal, but mighty to the pulling down of strongholds as He prepares to wage the war of the ages against His enemies (Joel 2; Jeremiah 51:20; Ephesians 6:17 ;II Corinthians 10:3-6).

Will you be ready?  Are you being forged into such a vessel or are you allowing your flesh to get distracted by the cares of this life?  The flesh wants its own way...and it wants it NOW. To whom will you yield?

Unfortunately, multitudes of Christians are unprepared for these times because they have been sitting in pews of death in Babylon, being puffed up with inspirational fairytales and false promises of worldly prosperity.  Their faith was just an accessory to help them get through the trials of life in this world.  Jesus Christ was just someone to give them what they wanted in this world versus someone who would deliver them from it.  They have not been made ready for war and are easily sidetracked by Satan into his psuedo-wars in the world which are of no threat him.  If you are in this type of snare, then wake up and ask the Lord to give you light as to what is really going on these days!

Yes, evil is increasing at alarming speeds, but the Lord has warned us that it would be so (II Timothy 3:1-5).  Satan knows that his time is short.  The question again is do you believe God's word and have you been prepared to stay grounded on the Rock in the midst of it all?  Will you be able to endure, even until the end (Matthew 24)?

God is shaking everything until the only thing which remains is that which cannot be shaken (Hebrews 12:27).  Is your faith one of those things?  Don't wait for the devil to further show his hand before you decide to stand for God.  Get ready now!

"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." II Timothy 2:3-4
