A Great Falling Away

An Apostasy

Is it possible to fall away from God after one has been saved? What really is an "apostasy" and to whom does this term refer?

  1. great video! 1Jo 2:18 ¶ Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
1Jo 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would [no doubt] have continued with us: but [they went out], that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

This shows the same thing, they are antichrist(s) they fall away to make it manifest that they arent of us.- That doesnt mean they were not christians it means they were christians but did not love the truth 2 thess 2. They were set free by Jesus and then went back to perdition.
Hbr 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if [any man] draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Hbr 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
They were christians but they did not love the truth so they departed. There are two groups within the body of CHrist- those who draw back and those who believe to the saving of the soul AMEN.
You do a good job of showing how the common arguements made are false according to scripture.
