Turning the World Upside Down - Part 1

This article has been updated and compiled into the book, "Turning the World Upside Down" The Spirit of Homosexuality and the Last Days"

Some may ask, "If you acknowledge that homosexuality is not the only sin, then why do you speak so much about it?" The answer is because many people do not realize the connection between homosexuality and Satan's plan for mankind. So, we will address this connection - in depth - in a series of posts starting with "An Upside Down Message".

An Upside Down Message

"Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: and Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.

And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few. But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.

And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus." Acts 17:1-7

Committed, Loving Relationships

There are those who would say that homosexuality is not a sin. I will address the most common defenses of this point that I have seen.
  1. The Bible does not address consensual, committed, loving relationships between homosexuals.

It does.  The Bible says that all such sex acts are an forbidden.

There are people who love, have consented to, and are committed to living in what God calls an abomination, but that doesn't change what God has said. The way you feel about a sinful act does not make the act acceptable to God.

"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient." Romans 1:26-28

For the Bible Tells Me So

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Have you ever sat and pondered this question? Does sound only exist when someone can acknowledge it or is does it exist based on the tree's own innate properties separate from any external validation?

This is the sort of philosophical riddle you are asked to embrace when examining the movie "For the Bible Tells Me So."

The BIG Sin

It has been interesting lately reading all of the hullaballu surrounding the Obama campaign as it relates to gospel singer Donnie McClurkin. The media, gay rights groups, and even Obama has come out against "bigoted" statements supposedly made by McClurkin.

What were the extent of such statements? "God has delivered me from the sin of homosexuality."

It is certainly clear why the homosexual movement would find such comments alarming. How dare someone imply that homosexuality is some sort of abnormal, deviant lifestyle that requires healing from God?  Doesn't McClurkin know that gay sex is normal and that homosexuals do not have a choice in whom they love?

Church, you had better keep your wits about you. Scripture says that in the last days Satan will come in like a flood, and he has. We have reached the time when simply believing what the Bible says is enough to have you labeled as a "hater". Christianity has been so twisted and convoluted in the world (and much of that by the so-called church), that it is now defined according to worldly definitions of "love and tolerance" with a complete disregard for the Truths of the Bible.
