Enemies of the Cross of Christ

And They Crucified Him

"For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things." Philippians 3:18-19

As stated in the Scriptures, the time has come when men are no longer willing to endure sound doctrine. The teaching of the cross has become anathema to many...even to those who name the name of Jesus Christ. Yet their offense at the cross of Christ is the very thing which will damn them to Hell.


There is a Jesus preached in many churches, but he bears no resemblance to the Son of God. There is a Gospel being taught around the world which is "another gospel". There is a spirit being released which does not impart new life, but baptizes its partakers into an unholy deception so that they will believe a lie. Is there any wonder why there is no substantive difference today between many professing Christians and those who are lost in the world?

The identity of the Savior of the world has been stolen and marauders are pillaging the souls of men as those being deceived are led away by their own lusts. In the meantime, the real Body of Christ can barely be seen. What is the issue? What is lacking? It is the cross. As stated in the video below, "In missing the cross, we have missed the power of the resurrection." This is to our shame.

We have been lied to. We have been sold a commercialized brand of Christianity that is shaped by what we can become in the world, what we can get for ourselves, and what we can have in this present evil age. Such is not the Gospel of the Kingdom. Jesus stated that He must be about His Father's business. Too many think that this was so we could have our "Best Life Now".

Don't turn your faces to God in prayer and ask Him to do what He has commanded YOU to do. If you are truly concerned for the lost, you will obey God. If you sincerely care about those languishing on the vine, you will deny yourself. No greater love is there than a man who will lay down his life for his friends. Satan is busy, distracting much of the church with more time spent pulling up tares than planting seed. The true stand for Christ, the true witness of a life reborn is a life laid down.

My friends, God has not changed. The God of the Book of Acts is the same God who is alive and well now. The power that God demonstrated through His people then is the same power He desires to pour out now, so that many may be saved. But who is willing to lay down their lives for Him? Who is willing to take up his/her cross and follow Him?

I pray that you take just a few minutes and listen to the message in this video below. May it bring conviction where necessary, revival where needed, and set on holy fire all who desire to be used by God during these last days.
