Judgment is Certain

Will You Redeem the Times?

"He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?" Matthew 16:2-3

As I woke up this morning and saw the news that Barack Obama was re-elected President, I heard a word from the Lord, "Judgment is certain."  Yet shamefully, many professing Christians either rejoice or are distressed by the election news, having placed the hope of their future in the hands of a man.  Too many seem oblivious to what is going on in the Spirit and are out of touch with the mind & heart of God at this critical hour.

To the modern day Christian:
It makes sense to support candidates based primarily upon the color of their skin, but it is extreme to evaluate candidates based upon their alignment with God's word?

We owe a greater debt to those who fought for the rights of the disenfranchised to vote than we do to the True & Living God who sacrificed His sinless life for the sin of the world?
It is our responsibility to take part in civil processes as good citizens, but it is foolish & irresponsible to forsake such things because we esteem greater our citizenship in the kingdom of God?
Where are our affections?  Where are our priorities?

If you just listen to many people's views on this election, one thing becomes abundantly clear: they cherish the things of this world more than the things of eternity...and that goes for many Christians as well.  They have left their first love, if they ever truly loved Him.

A few years ago, I was speaking with someone and sharing how these were the end times with Jesus' return soon approaching. She stated [I paraphrase], "I believe that God is a loving God and it is my prayer that He not bring that to pass, but giving people more time."

"Do you believe what the Scriptures say?" I asked her. "Of course!" she replied.

"Well if you do", I said, "Then you realize that there will come a time when time has run out and God will come forth in judgment. What happens if that time has come and you are praying against what God is doing because your prayers are not in line with His will?"

There was no answer to that question.

This is how many Christians are living day to day; going on their merry way with no interest in, or knowledge of, what God is doing (Luke 17:26-30).  Religion becomes something to help me cope with this life and feel better about myself, rather than a way for me to come into communion with the Creator of all things.

For those with eyes to see (and those who desire to have eyes to see), I invite you to read a few articles which speak to the current day in which we find ourselves. I have placed an excerpt for each one, but you may click on the title to access the full article.

Now It Begins
I awoke at 4:30. That which you will read below came to me over a course of four and a half hours. When I woke up, I saw that Obama had won and I heard: Now it begins…brace yourselves for great evil. Nothing happens that I do not allow. I set kings up, I build and I pluck down.

America Has Voted
He [Satan] has convinced the majority of Americans that their vote actually makes a difference, that the nation’s course would have been better, or worse, depending on who got elected. Truly, the whole earth lies in the power of the evil one, the great deceiver who deceives the whole world (Revelation 12:9). The truth is, a vote for Barack Obama is a vote for Luciferian government, and a vote for Mitt Romney is a vote for Luciferian government...

As disciples of Christ, the Christian is a citizen of a heavenly kingdom. The Bible describes the elect of God as “aliens and strangers” in this earth. The saints should not have a terrestrial concept of their identity, nor a nationalistic point of view. Those who have advocated that the Christian should vote, even of their vote is for the “lesser of two evils,” have not comprehended the mind of Christ. A vote for evil is a vote for evil...

I have shared with a number of saints the admonition of the apostle Paul. He declared:

I Timothy 5:22
Do not lay hands upon anyone too hastily and thereby share responsibility for the sins of others; keep yourself free from sin.

The laying on of hands was a sign of endorsement. Laying hands on someone was to give them a vote of confidence. Voting today is similarly a form of endorsement. When a Christian casts a ballot for a wicked man, the sins that man commits become their sins. They become sharers in the responsibility for the actions he takes. The counsel of Paul is to “keep yourself free from sin.” Do not be hasty to “lay hands upon anyone.”

Two Sides to the Coin
It is written that there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time My people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. [Dan 12:1]

People will be saying, ‘Has this been in our days or even in the days of our fathers?’ [Joel 1:2] In the days that are soon here, shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. [Mk 13:29]

Yet know this, that running parallel to the great darkness, the great tribulation will be a time of great light and glory; a time of great and marvelous miracles and wonders that have never been seen or heard of before and shall bring many [multitudes] into the kingdom...

Therefore marvel, for you shall behold great things, not only in the great tribulation of trials and affliction, but also in the wonders and miracles that shall also be happening. There are two sides to every coin.

You shall behold two kingdoms clash, for the war is near to ending, yet the victory is to the greater kingdom which I am King and Lord of. There have been countless battles since the beginning, and there are yet battles to endure, yet I AM the Lord of the battle.

A Certain Judgment
"All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us." Amos 9:10

I was reading the Book of Amos yesterday and my Bible's intro for this describes it as: God announcing His certain judgment on a people certain He would not judge.  What a fitting description for much of the modern day church.

As one brother said, the only election which matters is the eternal election of the Father of those who are His. Don't forsake eternity being hypnotized by temporal lies of the Devil.

  1. Hallelujah!!!!!! I did not vote yesterday and I feel so set free. Even though my husband and I took a lot of heat and pressure to vote, we did not. I got so much hate messages from so-called friends because I would not vote. People were like if you don't vote you part of the problem, soldiers died for your freedom, people died during the Civil Rights Movement so you can vote, blah, blah. My response was Christ died for my sins, how dare I or any Christian choose evil over Christ. I saw a comment from a Christian woman who said this was a spiritual election and that so-called Christians defend Obama more than they do Christ. In 2008 I voted for Obama because he was black and out of peer pressure. Nor this time, I repented for what I did and I told God i would not vote unless He told me too. When I read your last post the Deception of Democracy and Parables Blog about the true foundations of this nation, that sealed it for me. I did not vote and will not vote and thank God you your ministry and encouragement.

  2. Hello sis, i totally agree. it is so disheartening to see almost everyone around fall in this deception. As an African American it is almost expected that should have voted for Obama. Though, I did not vote period. It hurts more cuz I know if they had only loved the truth, they would not have fallen for the deception. I used to feel so alone but God has led me to people, mostly online, who have the same mindset. Thanks sis for this blog. Blessings.

  3. Hi, I am not a US citizen but even I can see how the empire will fall. As in the whole of history a nation falls from within, especially when it is fighting to many wars on to many fronts, moral decay and finanical woes.

I am from the UK and I am shocked to the core on how the US media has talked: 'white votes, black votes'. Here in the UK I have rarely if ever seen racism, having very close friends who are of colour. Here in the UK we base our selections on what policies are not on racial lines.

I believe Sister that you are right in this post, I would however date the unleashing of dark forces back to the opening of the olympic games. God help us all.

  4. This is so refreshing to read. I did not vote because there were no local issues that I needed to vote for and if I did vote I would have not voted for either candidate. Followers of Jesus who are rejoicing in Obama's victory, look at the people you are in agreement with. How can I be in agreement with Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Jay-z, just to name a few. Wake up, if you are deceived by this man how much more will you be deceived by the Anti Christ.

    1. Really, what kind of president would be proud to have the likes of Jay-Z and Beyonce endorsing him? smh

  6. Amen, I'm in Australia and even with limited knowledge of the Old Testament, it's hard to see God holding back His judgement of America (and probably the entire Western world) for much longer.

Watch Modern Family, Glee, X Factor, American Idol, etc, etc, etc. We celebrate homosexuality, abortion, fornication and covetousness - which is idolatry (as the KJV would put it :) )

I think someone once put it this way: If God doesn't judge America soon, He is going to have to apologise to Sodom and Gomorrah.

    1. Yes, such is true. However America is only a microcosm of the world at large. It is a "melting pot" of cultures from all over the world. For sure the judgment coming to America will only be a foreshadowing of the judgment God bringing to the entire world. It is time for men everywhere to repent and seek the Lord, that we may be able to stand with Him in that day.

  7. Not voting is plain dumb. If you'all had gone out and voted for the other candidate then maybe Obama would not be in office today. So you did nothing by not voting at all, you took a stand for nothing x

    1. Hello Anonymous,

To those who are invested in this world, I can certainly see how your comments might make sense. This is not about Obama not being in office. Do you honestly believe that one involved in a cult religion would be any better choice in God's eyes?

Yet that is the point. People who share the views you have expressed never consider what is good in God's eyes because all that matters to them is what seems real to them in this present life. God help those such as yourself to understand that this world is temporary and ruled by a "god" who is a master manipulator and deceiver.

Unless we live for Christ - and are led by His Spirit - then everything we do is in vain. The issue is not, "Who is in office?", but "What is God doing now and what is He calling His people to do?" I pray that you seek His wisdom to understand both the times & seasons in which we live and where you individually fall within that.

    2. Whomever God ALLOWS to be president is only there to serve bring about the events depicted in the Bible. It doesn't make much of a difference who the president is, since this nation is on a moral decline anyway.
