The Devolution of Man

The Process of Reprobation and God's Longsuffering

We have a couple of college students staying with us this summer, and I was speaking to one of them last week about how Romans Chapter 1 outlines the devolution of man.

Apart from God, man decays; starting with ingratitude -> leading to a wisdom which is dark & empty -> the worship of created things (idolatry) -> fornication -> homosexuality -> reprobation.  This is the path that every single person on earth is set upon outside of God.

The truth of the matter is that in the fallen state, every single man and woman on the earth is being forged into the image of a sodomite, and then - if not repented of - on to reprobation.

Are you ungrateful towards God, mumbling and complaining against Him, even so far as denying His very existence?  That is the evidence that you are a sodomite at heart.  Does your "wisdom" allow you to justify and condone what He says is forbidden and abominable?  Such is the evidence that you have the heart of a sodomite.  Are you participating in sexual sin, pornography, fornication?  These are the acts of a sodomite. Again, the acts might vary based on how far you have devolved towards reprobation, but the spirit behind it is the same.

Why do we see homosexuality becoming more accepted and promoted?  Because God is making manifest what is in the heart of (fallen) man. It is not about the "acts" man performs; the acts are merely manifestations of what is in the heart.  He is letting man see that he is but a beast.

"I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts." Ecclesiastes 3:18

The judgment of God against all unrighteousness has already begun by God "giving man over" to his own dark and vain desires.  Even those who profess heterosexuality or Christianity can inwardly still be a sodomite, which is why many cannot acknowledge homosexuality as sin and even engage in homosexual acts with those of the opposite gender (Romans 1:32).  We can outwardly appear to be one thing, but it is what is on the inside which determines whether we truly know the Lord or not.  This is what Romans Chapter 1 depicts; unrighteousness on the inside working its way out to the outside.  All the while, God is longsuffering with us, working with us to change, to repent...until our continued rejection of Him prompts Him to finally gives us over to a reprobate mind (Romans 1:28).

I found the following video on the Truly for Jesus site this morning.  It is produced by the Edinburgh Creation Group and is entitled "A Letter to a Pagan City" which delves into how the "wrath of God" (Romans 1:18) is often poured out on a cultural level as this devolution of man progresses.
This video shows incredible footage of Edinburgh's Pagan fire festival, which draws over 12,000 people. It also features photos of a government assisted evolution museum that sells books on astrology, tarot, Feng Shui and ghosts. Phil Holden investigates the rise of Paganism in Edinburgh. Edinburgh was at the centre of the Enlightenment movement and was also the city where Charles Darwin was educated. During the Enlightenment in the 18th century, philosophers and scientists agreed that it was unreasonable to consider that God might be a cause of things. Whilst you might expect the result would be a very rational city, it seems the opposite has happened and Edinburgh appears to be one of Europe's most superstitious cities. Whatever your own perspective: Humanist, New Age, Agnostic or religious this video is worth watching.
As Phil Holden examines the rise of paganism, you will see continued references in pagan art/culture to the worship of Baal-Peor as well as the exaltation of the female principle in worship of the earth.  Unlike the authority of God - which rests in patriarchy - the authority of the fallen nature rests in that which is by nature female.  God says that He alone is God, but the fallen nature says man can himself become a god.  Such things are "anti-" Christ because they are opposite to the truths of God and seek to replace the same.

WARNING: Be advised there are disturbing images in this presentation, including footage of sexual immorality during pagan festivals. Viewer discretion is advised.

  1. If I question the validity of your argument does that make me a closet sodomite? Almost every sermon from Omega ministries devolves into graphic descriptions of the act of sodomy almost to the point that the truth of the Word is lost. If your neighbor is a sodomite and Jesus said to love your neighbor - do you love him? I guess you could ask yourself - why the fixation on homosexuality?

  2. wendyworn, I kind of agree with you. I know that I am fighting a spirit of lust. I am praying about it a lot. I am really seeking deliverance. While I find the sermons at Omega Ministries helpful sometimes I can't listen to them because the sexual content seems to feed this spirit I am fighting. I will often have images of the very things the pastor describes!

  3. I think we need to see the act of homosexuality as the extreme physical manifestation of a spiritual problem we are all affected by in a base Adamic state.

We are self-obsessed, self-divining, self-gratifying and self-oriented without mortification of the flesh and mercy of Christ and the Holy Spirit in cleansing and developing us. Without this we will seek our own image our own opinion and the gratification of our flesh. The end-point of this is seeking your own image for this in the most carnal way - i.e. sodomy, but I see this in people who keep their older children living with them (i.e. they want their own image agenda reflected in the child) and a lot of marriages which can be just about making yourself feel good.

This concept was revealed to me a while back and it changed a lot of my behaviour helped me to reflect and ask God to protect and strengthen my weaknesses.

When someone asks me my views on sodomy etc my answer would be without Christ we all are sodomites.

GCP - as we call him over here made a point in one of his sermons about why we love, like people - being because we like how they make US feel (good/ powerful etc). Strong point - we are incredibly in love with our own image.

  4. Hi Linda,

I do not know whether you are a sodomite or not. I do believe however the Scriptures are clear that apart from being born again, such is an apt description of the spirit of fallen man before coming to know Christ...and that includes you, me, and all those who were born in sin and shapen in iniquity.

Indeed, Romans Chapter 1 outlines the decline of man as he continues in alienation from God, and homosexually (merely one outward act testifying to the internal fallen state) is the stage right before reprobation. So there is certainly a connection between the devolution of man and sexual perversion in general - which is also born out from the research reported in the above video from the Edinburgh Creation Group.

You may dismiss my article and the Edinburgh group video as invalid. Such is your right. Yet, it is not my "argument" which one must agree with, but the word of God.

How is a Christian to manifest the love of God? Indeed, if I did not love my neighbor, then I would not bother to tell him/her the truth (I John 3:11-18; Rev. 3:19).

"By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous." I John 5:2-3

As stated in the article, having the spirit of a sodomite is not simply about homosexuality. Anyone who is not born again has the same fallen nature, even if they do not profess homosexuality. Such can be seen in unthankfulness, idolatry, fornication, etc. Perhaps you could ask yourself - why feel such offense at a revealing that the fallen nature of man is more than just acts but an inward state of the heart?

Just to be clear, this message is not from Omega Ministries, but from me. If you have questions about Omega's sermons, then it is best to contact Omega directly.

  5. I think GCPs sermons are right-on. He is dealing with the world as it is and removing the rose-tinted glasses we all would prefer. The message God has called him to deliver is an urgent one as our society is rapidly deteriorating.

I understand what he is saying and why because I have had the experience of telling women they are infertile because their reproductive organs have been damaged by STIs from a guy who was a mistake years ago, or a pregnant women that she has HIV or Hepatitis at time in her life when she should be blossoming.

I have sat with patients demented and dying from AIDS complications who need to be cared like a newborn. These forces and their carnal manifestations are causing the effects we see around us and it is difficult to speak out about it.

I wish every young woman or man could hear what he is saying before stepping out into the world because it is stark but believe me its much worse when you are actually in it and trying to get out.

    God bless

  6. Hi Anonymous,

I can understand your concern regarding your battle with lust and pray that he give you the victory over that; I know that He is able. Even in Romans Chapter 1:26-27, such acts are referred to as vile, unnatural, unseemly, etc. This clearly indicates a topic which is not "pleasant" so to speak.

I also believe that different ministers may be called to deal with, or focus on, different areas of concern for the Lord. The Lord knows what we each need to hear, know, and experience in order to be drawn closer to Him. While such speaking may feed the problems you are fighting against, others may need to hear the raw truth just as it is.

What matters is not that you follow Omega Ministries, but that you follow the Lord. If you are not able to receive the word from Omega, that does not discount the value of God's words or the importance of finding a fellowship where you can be fed and grow.

Jesus said that the last days would be like Sodom and Gomorrah. Open homosexuality and overall sexual perversion was certainly a hallmark of those cities. If we are going to deal with the last days church and specifically the lost, then we must also be prepared to address the characteristics that the Lord said would be indicative of this time.

One commentary's summary of that part of Romans 1 says the following:

"As the Gentiles did not like to keep God in their knowledge, they committed crimes wholly against reason and their own welfare. The nature of man, whether pagan or Christian, is still the same; and the charges of the apostle apply more or less to the state and character of men at all times, till they are brought to full submission to the faith of Christ, and renewed by Divine power. There never yet was a man, who had not reason to lament his strong corruptions, and his secret dislike to the will of God. Therefore this chapter is a call to self-examination, the end of which should be, a deep conviction of sin, and of the necessity of deliverance from a state of condemnation."

May we each seek the face of the only One who can deliver us from such a state, and that is Jesus Christ.

  7. Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for sharing your perspective on Pastor Price's sermons. I came to know the Lord through Omega Ministries and can testify to much of what you say.

The bottom line for me is that the Gospel is not about any man or any woman. As long as we have our eyes attuned to man - and what he is or is not doing - then we will miss the mark. If I am crazy, if Pastor Price is crazy, if the Edinburgh Creation Group is crazy...just forget us.

As you say, the world is rapidly deteriorating. All must get to the word of God and get to Jesus Christ.

When we stand before the Lord, we will have no excuse. We will not be able to blame any man/woman on why we did not obey the truth. Further, when we stand before Him, it will not be any man/woman who has been our saving grace, but Jesus alone. We would all do well to forget folks and seek Jesus.

  8. Praise the Lord everyone. The answer to all of this is very simple. SATAN is a SODOMITE and he hates exposure of himself. To target the sodomite spirit is to target the very heart of Satan's dominion on earth. Those of you that are in the trenches and not just biblical theorists know that the warfare is intense when you battle the demons that rule the strongholds in the minds of men. If sodomy and sexual sin is mentioned and it triggers inordinate desires in you, instead of hatred for the sin, then your problem is demonic. The answer: fasting and prayer, "for this kind goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting". (Matt. 17:21) The doctor that wrote and told of the effects of sexual sin is in the trenches fighting Satan and therefore she is not offended by the messages against the devolution of mankind. The word of God exposes the filth done in the dark and the exposing of the filth does not "loose the word of God" to those that have ears to hear. "Every sermon" we preach is not about sodomy, but every sermon exposes the King of the Sodomites (Satan). We are on a 10 day fast, 1/20-1/29 to destroy the works of darkness and set captives free. Read Isaiah 58 and join us. It is apparent that those that desire to defend Satan see exposing Satan as a "fixation on homosexuality". "The human heart is deceitful above ALL things and desperately wicked, who can know it." (Jeremiah 17:9) Gird up for war and take this battle to the gates of hell with prayer and fasting, we will not be stopped for this is the Day of the Lord!!

    Maranatha and be blessed!!

    Pastor Price

  12. The hit and run driver gets 6 months and the mom gets 3 years? I am not so sure this has nothing to do with the sodomite nature. It certainly seems like a perversion of justice. In addition to the 4-year old who was killed, this Mom may not be available to help raise her remaining children for the next few years. Satan loves to destroy the family, so it seems right up his alley.

  13. Yes Latter Days it seems so crazy! I mean if the courts felt that they were both guilty in some degree why didn't they make the sentencing equal? I wonder what his
    socioeconomic level is?

Yes, Satan loves to destroy families. I don't know much about this girl but maybe she was trying to get it right. Maybe she was trying to make some small changes (internally or externally) to make things better. And along comes this. It reminds us of how fragile our American "liberty" is.

  14. Hi AnonyOne,

Based on the video interview, the hit and run driver had been drinking earlier, was on pain meds, and had only partial sight in one eye. It didn't seem as if socio-economic status was a factor.

I don't know anything about either of the individuals beyond what was reported. But the thought of a family being torn apart after having already suffered the death of a son just seems extreme. There was no evidence offered that the Mom was otherwise unfit.

Satan truly comes to steal, kill, and destroy.

  15. Can I ask a question about "Don't Ask Don't Tell"? I guess I don't understand it.

Gays have been in the military, right? They just kept it to themselves, right? So how does removing this policy change anything? They've always been in the military anyway so what difference does it make if they now can speak out openly?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hi Anonymous,

Historically, gays have never been an "accepted" part of the military. The homosexual liftestyle was viewed as aberrant and incongruent with military service. You could be discharged or rejected for simply being thought of having homosexual tendencies.

The "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" takes a step away from that position by allowing homosexuals to serve, as long as they keep their identity hidden. Such can only be discharged if they engage in or attempt to engage in homosexual acts; state they are homosexual or bisexual; or marry or attempt to marry a person of the same biological sex.

The act to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell goes beyond just repealing that policy, but removes any law barring gays from serving in the military. For the first time in U.S. military history, those who are openly gay/bisexual would be able to freely serve.

The bottom line is that - as Pastor Price states above - the nature of Satan is that of a sodomite. The fallen nature of man itself, shares that same nature - which is why we must be born again to partake of the divine nature.

As the latter days wind down, this nature will permeate mankind as it is primed to receive the Prince of Sodomites - the Anti-Christ. This is what is seen in Romans 1, II Timothy 3:1-5, in the above video, and even in the history of gays in the military.

In order for the "whole world" to wander after the beast, the "whole world" must share in the same spirit as the beast and sodomy must become more accepted. You can read more about that here: Turning the World Upside Down

So in that vein, the moves to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is merely one more example about how the world is becoming more conformed to, and receptive of, the sodomite agenda.

History of Gays in the Military

Pastor Price also addressed the lack of spiritual understanding in these areas illustrated by some of the comments above as well the absurdity in having openly gay persons in the military in the following service broadcast here: Let Pharaoh Go

  17. Thanks for the reply to my question. That helps a lot. It makes sense.

Well, if the homosexuals today become like the homosexuals during the days of Lot then we will have a HUGE problem on our hands.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi Anonymous,

    Jesus says that it will.

"And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed." Luke 17:26-30

When people ask things like, "Why keep addressing the sodomite nature?" I have to wonder if they are even reading the Scriptures. One would have to be blind to read the Bible or even the headlines for today and not see the direction in which society is headed.

As Jesus said, "It is written." I pray that those who desire to serve the Lord gird up and pray to be prepared for the days at hand.

  19. I was thinking about how reprobate man is becoming. I have been noticing what Pastor Price has been saying about tattoos. At one time when a woman would get a tattoo she would get a small discreet one. Maybe on the upper arm or ankle, something easily hidden if needed. Now they are HUGE. Women have these huge ugly things all over their legs, arms, chest, back! And they make it a point to wear clothing to reveal them. Old, young, black, white! I just can't believe what I am seeing. I mean this had to happen like in the last 5 years!

  20. Take a second and listen to this story: While homosexuals students are often the target of harrassment, they can also be the “harrassers.”
