A Journey in Faith Against Cancer - Part 2

This article is part of a series which might be better understood by starting at the first post.

Seek to Hear from God --- For REAL!

After surgery to remove the tumor, the doctors realized that the cancer had spread to my lymph nodes...and maybe beyond. Due to my age and the fact that my type of cancer was invasive, they recommended an aggressive treatment of chemo cocktails (that's what they called them) and radiation.

The week before chemo was to start, the doctors found an additional tumor in another part of my body. Tumor marker tests for that type of cancer (different than my first diagnosis) were elevated as well and they recommended another surgery with the thoughts that the cancer had spread. However, they wanted to start chemo right away and perform the additional surgery later.

A few days before chemo was to start, my husband and I spoke about the upcoming treatments. He asked if I was okay with what was about to happen.  I told him, "God hasn't told me to do the chemo and He hasn't told me not to. Unless I get specific direction from God on what to do, I am going to throw everything at my disposal against this disease."

Well, true to form, God began giving His directions the very next day. God told me not to proceed with the chemo and radiation. He stated that I was to pursue a natural plan of treatment (although He did not unveil what that was at the time).

A Journey in Faith Against Cancer - Part 1

You Have Cancer

It was a year ago this month when The Latter Days blog was started. So much has changed in that time. Even the world itself has moved forward much more significantly towards the financial crisis, global consolidation, rise in the occult, and general moral malaise that will usher in the unveiling of the Anti-Christ. However, this post is about changes in my own life over the past year.

Within one month of starting this blog, I found out that I had cancer. To be exact, it was within 1 week of starting the series "Turning the World Upside Down" that I found evidence of the tumor preceeding my diagnosis.

Beyond the shock of having this disease, it became apparent to me that Satan did not want me having this blog. I just had a knowing in my spirit that Satan was trying to distract me. He was hoping to get my eyes off of God and on myself, so that I would not be able to hear God's words. Even more so, I knew that it was the specific message on which I was working that he did not want to get out.

Turning the World Upside Down - Part 7

This article has been updated and compiled into the book, "Turning the World Upside Down" The Spirit of Homosexuality and the Last Days"

All Hell, the King of Sodom

We started the series of "Turning the World Upside Down" stating that there is a connection between rampant homosexuality and Satan's plan for mankind. The past six posts have outlined how Satan is creating an upside down kingdom of spiritual sodomites who are alienated from God. The purpose, however, is not only to make man the enemy of God, but to set the world stage for the crowning of his prince - the Anti-Christ.

One description of a type of the Anti-Christ defines him as the character of a sodomite.

"And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all." Daniel 11:36-37

Self-willed...self-absorbed...idolatrous...blasphemous...disrespectful to God and Godly authority...no desire for the opposite sex... Remember, we already showed how homosexuality is an expression of self-love.

Turning the World Upside Down - Part 6

A Progressive Civilization

The prominence of homosexuality in society is a direct barometer of the inroads that Satan is making into the very fabric of humanity.

When we begin to see the plagues of out of control children, men who shirk responsibility, and women who strive to be the leaders in society, you can rest assured that this is the curse of the upside down kingdom in manifestation. Let's look at the chain of causes and effects as outlined in previous posts.

God leads man through his spirit; the spirit imparts Godly governance to the soul, which is then able to manifest the life of God through the body. Sin causes man's soul to be inverted, thereby supressing his spirit and preventing him from receiving Godly direction. Cut off from God, man becomes the opposite of what he was created to be and the soul can then only receive input from the fleshly, carnal, and demonic realm. When you pervert the order of mankind (which is a reflection of God Himself), you come away with a perverted image of God. The result is a society of reversed roles; a society of spiritual sodomites.

Turning the World Upside Down - Part 5

At the Center of Self is a Sodomite

One key descriptor that sums up Satan's character is selfishness. He thinks only of himself and places himself above all others. "For God so loved the world that He gave..." (John 3:16) Love gives of one's self for the benefit of others; selfishness takes from others for the gratifying of one's self. God is self-less and sacrifices Himself for man (and calls for us to do the same), while Satan sacrifices man for himself.

The inverted soul is by nature a sodomite because it is focused on itself only. Not able to hear from God because the spirit of man is held captive by the soul, such persons are only able to receive input from the soulish, demonic realm. Just as a woman operating in false authority allows the devil to set-up a stronghold in the natural, the soul operating in false authority allows Satan to set-up a stronghold in the spiritual.

Turning the World Upside Down - Part 4

This article has been updated and compiled into the book, "Turning the World Upside Down" The Spirit of Homosexuality and the Last Days"

When a Man Becomes a Woman

When tempting Jesus with all of the kingdoms of the world, Satan stated, "And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it." (Luke 4:6)

The phrase "delivered unto me" literally means "betrayed into the hands of" or "to deliver up treacherously". Notice that Jesus does not dispute whether this power was in fact delivered unto him.

When did this treacherous betrayal happen? In the Garden of Eden. God had given Adam authority over creation, and when he chose to obey Eve instead of the dictates of God, he relinquished that authority to Eve. Knowing that Eve could not lawfully hold this authority, Satan was able to usurp worldly dominion and get a stronghold in the soul of mankind.

Turning the World Upside Down - Part 3

This article has been updated and compiled into the book, "Turning the World Upside Down" The Spirit of Homosexuality and the Last Days"

This article is part of a series which might be better understood by starting at the first post.

A World of Opposites

What is an upside down kingdom? It is a pattern of living that is the antithesis of what God has established. An inverted soul makes a man the opposite of what he was created to be.  As a result, he cannot understand God nor operate in the role that God has ordained (I Corinthians 2:13-14).

The Scripture tells us that before Satan fell, he was an angel named Lucifer. When he rebelled against God, he became the opposite of what he was created to be. He was once the light bearer (Isaiah 14:12, Ezekiel 28:17), but he became the ruler of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). He was once anointed (Ezekiel 28:14), now he is accursed (Genesis 3:14). He was perfect in his ways (Ezekiel 28:15), he is now full of iniquity (Ezekiel 28:18). He was wise (Ezekiel 28:17), but now he is the purveyor of lies (John 8:44).

Notice however, that he still can appear as an angel of light (II Corinthians 11:14). The impact of the fall changed foremost the inner make-up of his being; his character, his personality, his desires, etc. Satan is therefore depicted as a creation who was designed to be beautiful and full of light (and can still appear to be that way), but whose character has become the opposite of that. This is what Satan desires to do to mankind: turn the soul of man upside down so that he becomes the opposite of what God created thereby preventing fellowship with God.

Turning the World Upside Down - Part 2

This article has been updated and compiled into the book, "Turning the World Upside Down" The Spirit of Homosexuality and the Last Days"

This article is part of a series which might be better understood by starting at the first post.

An Inverted Soul

Man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26). One way in which this truth is seen is in the triune nature of man, reflecting the Trinity of God. "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." I Thessalonians 5:23

Man is a spirit with a soul that is housed in a body. While a deeper analysis of this is not the focus of this post, the design of man, the structure of the family, and the order of the church are all established purposefully by God to mirror His nature and help us better understand who He is.

The Spirit, by submitting to the Father, allows the will of the Father to be expressed via the Son. Believers, by submitting to the Word of God, allow the light of Christ to be seen in the world. Wives, in submitting to their husbands, allow the identity of a father to be made manifest in the children. The soul, in being submitted to the Spirit, allows the personality of man to be expressed via the body.
