Book Dedication

The following is part of the book, Why Adam Cannot Be Saved, whose sections can be accessed here.

“My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.” Proverbs 2:1-5

One thing the experience of writing this book has shown me is that I am but dust. There were many times when I was overwhelmed as I basked in the beauty of God’s word and His presence, considering His sacrifice for us all. At times it truly seemed too much.

“What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? And that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him? And that thou shouldest visit him every morning, and try him every moment?” Job 7:17-18

“What is man, that he should be clean? And he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?” Job 15:14

“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet.” Psalm 8:4-6

“LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! Or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!” Psalm 144:3

“Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better?” Ecclesiastes 6:11

“But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? Or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.” Hebrews 2:6-8

How great is the Lord our God & His love for us in that He would choose to bring His light to bear upon our darkened hearts. Who can imagine such a love? God has provided for us a living word in the Scriptures which hold untold treasures for us if we would but believe and take time to search them.

This book is dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ and all the numerous ways in which His love has been shed upon me; including my parents & extended families; my husband, Vincent Hunter and our children; Pastor & Mrs. Gary C. Price; the Omega Church & Ministries Center family, and members of the body of Christ that He has given me the grace to come to know.

I pray that this work be pleasing to Him; that it helps to bring others closer to Jesus and to understand the importance of walking as Jesus walked.  Let us all join together in exalting the name of Jesus and keeping our eyes on Him, in anticipation of His soon return.

“Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” II Peter 3:11-18
