I just want to remind you that our God is a God of the impossible! There is nothing too hard for Him.
No situation He cannot turn.
No obstacle He cannot overcome.
No need He cannot meet.
No sin He cannot forgive.
No bondage He cannot break.
No heart too hard for Him to change.
No prayer He cannot answer.
"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." Mark 9:23
Yes, these days are dark, but God already has a plan. Look not to the left nor the right, neither be dismayed. He is able and His will shall be done. And yes, His will is unfolding still, even in the midst of present darkness in this world. He is not taken by surprise and His hand is not too short to save.
Don't make God too small in your eyes. Don't be afraid to ask Him, even for the impossible! We often have not because we ask not (James 4:2).
"And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you." Matthew 17:20
Can you believe Him to save? Can you believe Him to heal? Can you believe Him to deliver? Even a lost generation that seems without hope? Hope in God I say.
Why are you downcast? Why are you disheartened by the wickedness of the enemy? Don't you know that the Lord has already secured the victory? If God is for you, then who can be against you?
Oh, but we serve a mighty God! Have we forgotten our God? Yet He has not forgotten us.
"For with God nothing shall be impossible." Luke 1:37
Turn your hearts to Him and dare to trust Him. Dare to stand on His word, even when every voice is telling you it is impossible. Stand on His word - do not be moved - and see the glory of the Lord!
Jesus is God of the living, not the dead. So why walk as one who is dead? Shake off the graveclothes which bind and live I say unto you (John 11:40-44)!
"The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the
glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and
Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of
our God.
Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold,
your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he
will come and save you.
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away." Isaiah 35:1-10

Yes, He can deliver us from all evil! Lust, gluttony, idleness, dishonestly, rebellion, discontentment, unthankfulness, anger, envy, materialism... you name it and He CAN deliver you.
ReplyDeleteHi Anonymous,
DeleteAll power over wickedness and the evil one is only through Christ Jesus. Amen!
If I can add to your comments, I would like to emphasize a distinction that some may not understand. When it comes to satanic strongholds and demonic oppression, deliverance is key. However, there are some things that are just works of our flesh which we need to crucify.
"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." Galatians 5:19-21
It is important for us to know the difference so we are not sitting around waiting for God to deliver us from things that He has already given us the power to overcome by His Spirit. Sometimes people remain bound by sin waiting for God to do a work when they simply need to make up their minds to deny the flesh.
Let's continue to wage war against all disobedience!
"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled." II Corinthians 10:3-6
LDM,
ReplyDeleteYou are correct we must indeed war against our flesh! Reminding me of that scripture just helped me immensely!
While I was really posting that for others who may be new to the faith, I am so glad it blessed you. :-)
