All Things Being Equal

Degeneration vs. Regeneration

I recently saw the graphic to the right, which has become a recurring theme in the world.  "Inside we're all the same", it claims.

Notice that on the image, you have the misappropriated rainbow symbol that the homosexual community uses to promote its cause.  I say misappropriated because the rainbow is a covenant sign that God made with Noah to never destroy all flesh again...with a flood (Genesis 9:9-17).

The flood in Noah's day was God's judgment against the pervading sin of man.  The sons of God (who were fallen angels) lusted after the daughters of men and mated with them (Genesis 6:4).  The children resulting from these unions are a hybrid creation referred to as the nephilim (meaning fallen ones), or what the Bible calls "giants".  Immediately after this perversion, we see its influence as the Scriptures say that, "the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." (Genesis 6:5).

The reality of that time seems almost impossible to consider; EVERY imagination and thought of man's heart was ONLY evil CONTINUALLY?   There was not even one good intent of the heart...ever?  Yet, when we look around us today, we can see mankind coming to the same place now.  The debauchery, unrestrained lust, sociopathic tendencies, and hatred for all things good which we see on a daily basis are unfathomable. One needs to only look at the news, or just look around you, to see that something has gotten hold of man and made him less than human.

Therefore, when I see people using the rainbow as a sign of their solidarity with, and support for, sexual perversion, I always get the mental picture of them shaking their fists at God.  One on hand, it is like they are hiding behind the rainbow, reminding God that He promised to not destroy the earth by flood again - as if they can put off their own judgment.  On the other hand, it is as if they are mocking God; daring Him to do something about their rebellion.  You can be assured that God will do both; He will destroy the earth again (although not by water) and He will judge all unrighteousness (Romans 2:2).

So what is the common refrain now?  "We are all the same on the inside."  Our differences do not matter because they are just external things.  Don't judge those who are different than you.  If you look with the eyes of love, diversity, and tolerance (as defined by the world), you will see that we are all the same.  We are all sharing in the same human struggle.  We are all a part of the human experience.  Deep down inside, we are all equal.  This is the sort of perspective which goes hand-in-hand with the "God loves us all" proclamation.

Many will say, "It is what is on the inside which matters."  And I wholeheartedly agree!  Problem is, the assertion that we are all the same on the inside is not true.  The big question - the only thing that matters - is "What are we on the inside?"  It is there we will find our differences or commonalities, based on the source of life which is within us.

"Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more." II Corinthians 5:16

The world likes to judge according to the flesh (John 8:15).  What is your race, your political affiliation, your income level, your education, etc.  None of these superficial things mean anything in the Kingdom of God.  Yet this is what most of the world (including the so-called Church) seeks after.  Man has many causes and many injustices he seeks to recitify, but most of them are not the cause of Christ; they are merely the championing of the flesh.  This is why the Lord commands us to judge according to that which is spiritual (John 7:24; I Corinthians 2:15).  It is the spirit of man - what is on the inside - which determines who he really is. In this regard, the Bible says that we are either spiritually degenerating or regenerating.  Those are the only two options.
degenerating: to fall below a normal or desirable level in physical, mental, or moral qualities; to deteriorate; to diminish in quality;  to bring about a decline or reversion in.

regenerating:  to effect a complete moral reform in; to re-create, reconstitute, or make over, especially in a better form or condition; to revive or produce anew; bring into existence again; to renew or restore.
We need to understand this.  In God's eyes, there are only two types of people: those who are degenerating and those who are regenerating.  There is no other [eternal] distinction in man.  We are either soulish or saved; dead to God or born again; carnal or spiritual; God's enemy or His child, for Christ or anti-Christ, damned or redeemed.

If we are truly in Christ, then we ought to also see as He sees.  We should not primarily identify ourselves or others by appearances.  Not Black, White, Hispanic, Asian...not rich or poor...not young or old...  We are either in Christ and bearing forth His righteousness from within or in Satan and bearing forth his degradation from within.  The only people who are the "same inside" are those who are united by the same seed of life within; either the seed of the serpent or the seed of God.

"The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one" Matthew 13:38

Unlike the world will tell you, we are not all children of God (Galatians 3:26; Romans 8:15).  God only recognizes those who have been born again and are led by His Spirit.  Many are the children of the devil by means of the spirit working within them (Genesis 3:15; John 8:44; I John 3:8-10).

So what does degeneration look like?  The process is outlined in Romans Chapter 1.  It starts with ingratitude towards God producing a darkened heart that lacks wisdom.  The empty vanity of man's mind then leads him into idolatry and the worship of himself, which is first seen through fornication.  If unabated, God gives the fornicator up to the  "vile affections" of homosexuality.  Finally, God gives man over to reprobation, where he is filled with unrighetousness and completely unable to be saved.

What is the answer for those on the path of degeneration?  Repent!  Turn from your ways (which is what repent means) and humbly present yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ to be cleansed. Through all of these stages of degeneration, God is longsuffering, letting man experience more of the "depths" of Satan so that man might turn to Him.  No one gets to reprobation by chance; it is the determined, continued rebellion of a mind which is set against God.

In regeneration, everything that man experienced in the fall is reversed back to the normal state of man when he was originally created.  Man is reconciled with the Father as he is translated from the power of darkness to the Kingdom of His Son.  He is made a partaker of the divine nature and given a new heart and a new spirit (Ezekiel 36:24-28).  He is cleaned from his filthiness and given the Spirit of the Lord within so that he may walk in obedience to God.

As evidence of these two different types of life within, we will either display the works of the flesh or the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:19-25).  This is why Jesus said that we will know those who belong to Him by their fruit (Matthew 7:17-20; Luke 6:33-34).  It is the manifestation of the life within us which declares to whom we truly belong.

"That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." John 3:6

It is only what is on the inside which matters, and know for certain that we are not all the same.

So many "in the church" have fallen for the notion that Christian "love" means accepting everyone and never acknowledging sin as sin -- for that might hurt an unbeliever's feelings and push unbelievers away from Christ. Isn't the devil clever...... and evil! We are only deceived IF we stop looking to the Lord for answers and start looking to man, society, and majority votes as the right way.

In the winter, I had a close friend - who is a teacher also - come in to my classroom visibly upset. A few students in her class had made some comments that contained a great deal of sexual innuendos regarding her dress attire. During that conversation, I prayed, Lord, give me the right words that speak your truth." Why did I need to do that.... because 1. she was a dear friend, 2. the information I believe God wanted me to give her would not be something she wanted to hear, and 3. Satan was making every attempt to silence my words with fear.

I, with love, spoke the truth to her the moment she said, "Do you think I am doing anything to warrant their words?" I then said what she did not want to hear -- As peacefully and meekly as I could, I told her that her choice of clothing was inappropriate and that when boys saw her, they didn't see a teacher they wanted to respect but instead a sex object.

Is it easy to speak such truth to a dear friend? I wouldn't call it easy -- The truth is after I said this, she left quietly -- spent lunch with other female colleagues who told her the way she dressed was perfectly all right and acceptable. She later commented how helpful "those" friends were to her by encouraging her and truly helping her. Ouch! I then spent the next 2-3 days weeping before the Lord asking Him if I had failed Him and spoken those words incorrectly and without His Spirit guiding me... Oh, how Satan assaulted me during that time. Finally, after a dream from the Lord where He told me it was forbidden that I faint in my heart, I remember getting ready for church and saying Lord, I do not believe I said anything wrong to her and that I spoke words of truth in an attempt to edify her.

  2. Part 2 of 2
I went to church that evening, and my almost 1 year old at the time was being very loud, so I picked him up in an attempt to soothe him. I walked to a location that I rarely went to with him. While I stood in front of the church bulletin board - baby in arms, my eyes began reading a letter posted on the board. I'll simply provide a summary here - The man in the letter talked about recently going to the grocery store with his 12 year old son. His son said that he wanted to stay in the car. The father thought it odd, so he asked his son why. The son's response was that it would be easier to keep himself pure by staying in the car because in the store, he would be inundated by magazines in the check out line of women who were scantily clothed and provocatively tempted the boy to lust in his heart. The father went on to provide some key scripture:

    Job 31:1
I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?

    Matthew 18:6
6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

The father had sent the letter to all local churches in hopes of a petition being completed so that those types of magazines would be placed in a different location -- not where the eyes of young children could see them.

The deadline to complete the petition had long passed, yet no one at our church had taken the letter down. God knew the precise moment I would need to read His truth. In that moment, God showed me that I had been worried about hurting the feelings of the one who had transgressed - sinned -- He in His glorious way showed me that my eyes were in the wrong place. Look at the children! Look at the children who are being tempted to sin and entertain lustful thoughts because their teacher dresses in a highly sexual way. I stood there in front of that bulletin board praising Him! Satan tried to silence me -- I remember even during those few days leading up to this revelation from God that I had said, "Maybe I just need to be silent..." But at a keep point in the letter, the father said, "Are we to be silent and not speak the truth?!"

It was in that moment I prayed the Lord would always help me to view situations the way HE views the situation. We will lose friends and family when we speak God's truth, but I can't think of any words I would rather speak!

My friend will not be able to stand before the Lord and say "but I never knew I wasn't supposed to dress that way."

I have been a quiet person most of my life - always assuming others knew more than I, but in these last years - through the Spirit's guidance -- He has shown me that there are times when He calls me to speak the Truth and speak it I must!

    1. Joy, I am so encouraged by your post. I am not as shy as I used to be, but I am in a struggle with letting go of the non-confrontational, and quiet person that I usually am. Of course this is the biggest obstacle that I have when it comes to witnessing for Christ. I am not feeling so great because there was a salesman that came to our home the other day and as I was done filling out the ordering form, he was explaining some other things to me and packing up his things. Out of nowhere I just got this feeling that I should witness to him. He had to go to other homes to fill his quota for the day so I was thinking "huh I can't do that now, w-w-hat?" We had ordered books from the company he was representing before, so while filling out a comment card I mentioned that we are a Christian family and I liked that they used scriptures a lot in the books. I just put that out there real quick but just felt like more should have been said. Should I have kept him from leaving? He did have other homes to go to. I wasn't sensing that from the Lord,to make him stay in my house but I was feeling like I failed the Lord and I was repenting so much! I prayed for the Lord to let it be the same man when they drop of our order so I can give him a tract because it will be quick. I read something yesterday from Ray Steadman about witnessing as the Holy Spirit leads not just jumping right into the depths. For the times when a person does not ask us a question, do you all just go right up to someone and go in depth talking about Jesus and sin and repentance or do you feel it is step by step so you don't overwhelm the person you are witnessing to? Are tracts really helpful for just planting a seed?

    2. Hi GIJane02,

I just wanted to post a quick response to your questions. There is no cookie-cutter approach for being a witness for the Lord. We are dealing with living people in varying situations on behalf of a living God. The key is that we need to be receptive to His Holy Spirit because only He knows what will touch a person's heart.

Believe me when I tell you that He will give you the words to say in that situation. And know this as well, people's response to what you say is not the barometer for whether what you said was of the Lord or not. They may receive it gladly or they may be offended. The truth is not dictated by people's reaction to it. As Jesus said, what is the chaff to the wheat?

We (all believers) do need to be toughened so as to withstand the volatile responses people have to the Gospel. Like Jeremiah, we are not to be confounded by staring at the people's faces or being caught up in how they react to what God gives us to say. Just stay in communion with the Lord and let Him use you as He sees fit. The more we get out of ourselves, the easier it will be (talking to myself too). :-)

      God Bless!

    3. Gijane02,
I completely agree with LDM. I would add that the Lord is a gentle teacher to those who long to be taught by Him. There have been times that I felt like I didn't say all or do all that the Lord wanted me to do in specific situations, but I prayed that He would give me another opportunity to fully obey His Spirit. --- and HE Did Every Time! I wrote on my blog a few weeks ago about a time when the Lord prompted me to handle a situation with an outspoken atheist student. The Lord was very gentle when He nudged me to say and do certain things in regards to this student. I know that the Lord is certainly willing to continue teaching you and me both so that we are lights to others. Take Heart - The Lord will continue to teach us :)

  3. LDM,
That is true. I look for moments to talk about God. I try to make it a natural thing. I prefer to get people talking about themselves first. I takes some of the pressure off and I can talior my message.

  5. Hi LatterDays sister.
I was reminded in your response regarding being led by the Spirit in evangelism, that God had pointed out to me some time ago from the words spoken to prophet Jeremiah "do not be afraid of their faces..". It is so important that we are ready as His witnesses, and if we fail, just to be quick to repent and He will dust us off and set us off again. To GOD be all glory!

  6. This really hit a nail on the head. One that I just recently touched on with someone. I live in Salt Lake City which is now per capita the gayest city in America according to Time Magazine. I was telling someone that the homosexual agenda is being pushed hard to the point that they try to silence anyone that stands against it and that it's important to teach your kids to love people enough to tell them the truth. The response I got was,

"Well, I accept people as they are. That's love. They do what they do so I just accept them for who they are. No need to keep harping on it everytime I'm around them".

My response was "Well to accept it means to stand in agreement with it and if you don't take a stand and teach your kids how grave this sin and abomination is. To say that being accepting of it is being loving is a lie that you are telling yourself. If you really loved them, You'd speak out and tell them the truth. That they are hellbound lest they repent. You don't have to beat them in the head with it but at the same time you shouldn't accept pervesion. That means you don't hang out with them and turn the eye to their sin. You seperate from it because judgment is about to come on it and as Romans 1:28 says basically you take pride in those that do the same things. Siding with it is to side with satan."

The next response was "Well it's a sin just like fornication, lying, adultery".

My response is "It's an abomination. Something detestable to the Lord. There are sins that are "unto death" and there are sins that aren't as grave. Homosexuality was punishable by death in the Old Testament. Romans 1 says it is still "Worthy Of Death". The only difference is that God is giving them time to repent. But that time is soon closing. You don't want to be a part of the judgment. And to assume that telling them the truth about this is "not loving" is the biggest lie the Devil has everyone fooled with right now. It's only to keep people silent so he can continue sodomizing the world."

The final response was "Well I'll agree to disagree. I don't believe as you". And after that I left it alone.

I realize that in these final hours, we'd all better speak up. We can't let these people's blood be on our hands. It may cost us our families, friends, and even our lives but we don't love our lives unto death. We have a "REAL" kingdom waiting for us. This is not our home. It's sad at times but I am still separating from people. Even some Christians that feel they can't speak up because that's Judging and only God can do that. That is code word for "I want to be liked by the world and not stir the pot". As for KGORE and MY HOUSE..WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.

  7. Its amazing to me and completely ironic that they use the very symbol ( the rainbow ) that God used to say he would never judge the earth with a flood again as their freek flag symbol of freedom. Its also ironic that theres a show on cable now called NOAHS ARC about a group of gay black men and their everyday lives and relatioships which shows them kissing and what not ........
" as it was in the days of Noah "

    1. Hi Caucazhin,

I was not aware of that show, but I am not surprised. It is all deliberate. As see in Genesis 19, behind the "gay" (ironically meaning happy) exterior, is a viscous, intolerant, demon spirit. Everything about that lifestyle is a misappropriation of what is true because Satan can only steal, kill, and destroy.

If you have never seen it, it might interest you to read the Homosexual Manifesto, which lays out their plans quite plainly.

      Homosexual Manifesto

Below is just some of what is written:

"We shall sodomize your sons, emblems of your feeble masculinity, of your shallow dreams and vulgar lies. We shall seduce them in your schools, in your dormitories, in your gymnasiums, in your locker rooms, in your sports arenas, in your seminaries, in your youth groups, in your movie theater bathrooms, in your army bunkhouses, in your truck stops, in your all male clubs, in your houses of Congress, wherever men are with men together...

We shall write poems of the love between men; we shall stage plays in which man openly caresses man; we shall make films about the love between heroic men which will replace the cheap,
superficial, sentimental, insipid, juvenile, heterosexual infatuations presently dominating your cinema screens...

All churches who condemn us will be closed. Our only gods are handsome young men...

We will demonstrate that homosexuality and intelligence and imagination are inextricably linked, and that homosexuality is a requirement for true nobility, true beauty in a man..."

If people cannot see that this is all happening right before our eyes, then they are blind...and already part of the deception being weaved.

An Upside Down Kingdom series may be helpful for those who need to understand why rampant homosexuality is part of the end time delusion.

      Thanks for sharing!

  9. Just one trivial note: Anthropologists can tell which race (or sex for that matter) a person belonged to by analyzing the skeleton. There are physical (not to mention behavioral) differences beneath it all.
